anti-GFAP, Polyclonal

BTI anti-GFAP, Polyclonal, is prepared in rabbits with homogeneous GFAP isolated from bovine spinal cords.  The antibody is essentially monospecific. It stains only the astrocytes in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded rat brain cerebellum.  Western immunoblots of adult rat spinal cord/cytoskeletal proteins confirmed the monospecificity.  BTI anti-GFAP polyclonal reacts with GFAP containing specimens from human, bovine, rat, dog, cat and mouse.
